Awareness campaign for Skoun.
On the occasion of Overdose Awareness day 2018, I was the lead communication and design officer for Skoun’s Overdose awareness campaign.
We created an online campaign to both educate our community on recognizing overdose symptoms, and dealing with such situations, as well as an advocacy campaign to call on hospitals who illegally reported overdose cases to the police.
I designed a table entitled Recognize the Signs of a Drug-Related Emergency & Learn What to do, that was shared on Skoun’s website and social media platforms.

We produced two educational videos on how to perform CPR and how to put an unconscious person in the recovery position.
We also advocated for hospitals in Lebanon to abide by Circular 46/2016 by the Ministry of Public Health, which prohibits emergency rooms from reporting overdose cases.
Of the 133 hospitals that were surveyed, we found that only 29 do not report cases of overdose to the police. As part of the advocacy campaign, I designed a map of the 29 hospitals in Lebanon that do not call the police upon receiving cases of overdose, and would thus be safe for people to go to should they find themselves in a drug-related emergency.
The objective was to educate our community on the issue and provide them with the necessary information and tools to prepare for such situations. I made the map available on social media, the website and Google Maps.
